Neuro-Emotional

TECHNIQUE

Because the answer lies within you.

N.E.T. is the precision, mind/body stress-reduction technique that originated in the world of chiropractic care in the late 1980s. It is implemented, in person, by a licensed clinician with an advanced degree who has been trained specifically in this unique modality. Gentle, non-invasive, and evidence-informed, N.E.T. honors our instinctive self-knowledge and our innate ability to heal. It incorporates intuitive listening; core tenets of Chinese medicine; more recent, evidence-based scientific knowledge of the body/mind connection (neurobiology); and manual muscle testing (a type of biofeedback) to precisely identify the location of the unresolved stress we carry in our bodies and map it to originating stressors from our past. Once the stress/stressor is identified, a gentle correction, directed by the N.E.T. practitioner and carried out by the client, clears it out. This correction consists of:

  • Gentle pressure on meridian pulse points

  • Deep breathing

  • Body positioning

  • Homeopathic remedies, when indicated (which help the body heal naturally)

In this way, N.E.T. mitigates the harmful physiological effects of unresolved stress on our minds and bodies.

People who receive N.E.T. may experience...

  • Relief from the damaging effects of unresolved stress

  • A sense of lightness, calmness, and confidence

  • Improved sleep, mood, outlook, and/or cognition

  • Decreased pain, increased functionality

  • Reduced depression and/or anxiety

  • Improved overall wellbeing and quality of life

N.E.T. can promote awareness and/or insight regarding the stimuli that trigger us and cause us to have disproportionately strong and/or undesired reactions. By helping to identify and address these stressors, N.E.T. frees us from the hold they have on us, giving us agency over our own actions and behaviors. N.E.T. works quickly, too; many patients see improvements right away.
