A Bit About Me

Hello! My name is Julianne Marino. I am a wife, mother, and woman of faith. A lifelong reader and writer, I am also a lover of words, and of using them to inspire, instruct, and influence others. (My first degree was in journalism!) As a master’s-prepared R.N. and holistic clinician, I have a passion for – and expertise in – health education, health counseling, and holistic approaches to wellness (those that respect the integrity of the entire person and the inextricable interconnectedness of the mind, body, and spirit). I launched OnWord Health to leverage the power of words to lead people inward – to heal, to learn, to grow – so they can move onward in their life. My primary goal is to do so through the practice of N.E.T. I, myself, have benefitted tremendously from it and firmly believe in its value and its rightful place in the family of holistic mind/body modalities. When I am not with clients, I can be found hanging out with my husband, catching up with my kids, frequenting flea markets with friends, walking in the woods, paddleboarding in the Poconos, or curling up on the couch with a good book and a cup of tea!

More about my work...

As a master’s-prepared, licensed* registered nurse, educator, holistic clinician, and wellness advocate, I have a passion for helping people restore clarity, balance, and connection in their lives through improved health. With experience that bridges modern nursing science and holistic healing, I am well positioned to offer care that treats the whole person -- body, mind, and spirit. My professional journey has taken me from hospital settings to non-profit organizations; from classrooms to the community; from start-up ventures to my own holistic nursing business, OnWord Health. Throughout all these endeavors, my greatest achievement has been creating a safe, supportive space where people feel seen, heard, and empowered--to heal, to learn, and to grow. My clinical nursing experience includes bedside nursing in the hospital; inpatient and outpatient mental and behavioral health, including addictions; working with vulnerable populations; case management; academic and corporate education; and program development and management. Most recently, I have become a trained Neuro- Emotional Technique (N.E.T.) practitioner. N.E.T. is a widely practiced, yet still relatively unknown, precision mind-body stress reduction modality. With a foundation in professional communications and years of experience teaching and educating others, I bring authenticity, credibility, and clarity to every encounter. In my work with clients, I also draw upon my innate warmth, compassion, and intuition. Finally, with a recognition of the dignity of every individual as a uniquely precious child of God, I serve with empathy, integrity, and humility. *Licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
